MANIPULATIONS: A MIND'S EYE LABORATORY

Vancouver's Rumble Productions puts everyday life under a microscope in Manipulations, a rigorous but humorous glimpse into the human condition. The laboratory is life - habitual behavior and the use/abuse of power are the subjects. Watheran, your mystic/physicist host, is relentlessly propelled by his scientific curiosity and a quest to understand the relationship between power and entropy. Who is manipulating whom? When examining the nature of love and the no detail is too insignificant to consider.

In 1991 Rumble Productions presented The Company Project, a cross-disciplinary adaptation of a Samuel Beckett novella. With this new work the society continues to develop its distinctive, innovative aesthetic. Manipulations is directed by Chris Gerrard Pinker, former associate director at Toronto's Theatre Passe Muraille.
